Join us to fight

youth suicide

Jack Connor died by suicide on September 1, 2017 at the age of fourteen after remaining silent about his thoughts of self-harm.

The Jack Connor Foundation was created to help youth suffering from mental health issues or suicidal thoughts to find a voice, a way to speak up, to connect with each other and to find help.

In Indiana, Jack’s story is not uncommon.

  • Suicide is the 3rd leading cause of death for ages 10-19.

  • Almost 7% of high school students report making a suicide attempt.

  • Over 14% of high school students report suicidal thoughts.

We’re on a Mission to…

  • Fight youth suicide by providing real, practical tools that empower and encourage youth to speak out when they are struggling with mental health issues.

  • Inform and educate caregivers on how best to reach youth who are struggling, how to immediately respond to youth when they divulge mental health issues and also how to connect them to community resources for help.

  • Partner with compassionate, like-minded and innovative mental health professionals who will lend their expertise to our mission.
